Bright Weekend Journal

Our standards

Bright Weekend Journal aims to make its writing clear, considered and dependable. We explain the scope of a piece, check factual statements with care and make changes when an error comes to light.

Accuracy and scope

We review names, dates and other factual details before publication, and take care not to present an impression or preference as a settled fact. Where a subject has limits or uncertainty, the wording should make that plain. Our articles offer general editorial information, not professional, official or local-rule advice.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled as such, including relevant partner placements. A collaboration does not guarantee favourable coverage, and commercial arrangements do not change the way editorial material is presented.

Corrections

If you believe a published piece contains an error, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and detail in question. We review correction requests and amend confirmed errors clearly. We distinguish corrections from changes made to improve clarity or update wording.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are not evidence that a particular place, person or event was photographed, and we aim to avoid images that could mislead readers about the subject.
